Project Moshen - Philadelphia's All Female Jazz Dance Company

Philadelphia's All Female Jazz Dance Company

Founded in 2010, Project Moshen set out to revive the style of jazz dance in Philadelphia. Combining the artistic side and the commercial side of dance, Artistic Director Kelli Moshen, blends the two styles & elements together to showcase her fast, intricate, urban style of jazz dance.

Project Moshen produces two shows a year, performs at various events, visits schools in the community, and holds master classes at Philadelphia area universities. Through these efforts, the company hopes to spread their passion, creativity, and knowledge of jazz dance to the community, along with bringing this style of jazz back to life in Philadelphia.

STRENGTH IN NUMBERS - HOME SEASON SHOW

  • Project Moshen Philadelphia, PA (map)

Join us on Friday, April 26th and Saturday, April 27th for Artistic Director Kelli Moshen's newest work, Strength in Numbers.
Strength in Numbers goes back to the roots of Project Moshen and the meaning behind the company. This newest work brings forth a conversation around how women can maintain both beauty and strength without being forced into one category by societal pressure and stereotypes. Moshen showcases how individuality, power, and strength is amplified when we come together as women.
Throughout the show, audience members will be exposed to the confidence and vulnerability of women, with notes of grace and elegance. Our audience will also witness how women display these qualities within a group, and as they travel their own paths.
Strength in Numbers represents Project Moshen Dance Company and shows the true beauty women have not just on the outside but within them as well.

Project Moshen is excited to perform SILENCED, choreographed by Eric Bean Jr., and is thrilled to have the Institute of Dance Artistry Repertory Company premiere Moshen's newest piece to open the show!
