Project Moshen - Philadelphia's All Female Jazz Dance Company

Philadelphia's All Female Jazz Dance Company

Founded in 2010, Project Moshen set out to revive the style of jazz dance in Philadelphia. Combining the artistic side and the commercial side of dance, Artistic Director Kelli Moshen, blends the two styles & elements together to showcase her fast, intricate, urban style of jazz dance.

Project Moshen produces two shows a year, performs at various events, visits schools in the community, and holds master classes at Philadelphia area universities. Through these efforts, the company hopes to spread their passion, creativity, and knowledge of jazz dance to the community, along with bringing this style of jazz back to life in Philadelphia.

Help us reach our goal!

Hey ProMo fans!

We are entering our 6th season as one of Philadelphia’s premiere female dance companies. Our next independent show, "Coming Home," is set to debut at the Performance Garage on April 15 & 16, 2016. “Coming Home” is an original story of the unbreakable bond between two soldiers at war. In order to make this show a success, we need your help!

“Coming Home,” takes our previous shows to a new level by exploring the emotional bond between two soldiers at war and the struggles that come with leaving war to return to civilian life. This topic is very relevant to current events and shows the important human aspect of war that can be easily overlooked. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Koresh Dance Company's principle dancer, Melissa Rector, who collaborated with our artistic director, Kelli Moshen, to choreograph a piece that captures the struggles of surviving war. "Coming Home," will showcase Project Moshen's fast-paced, strong, athletic movement through cinematic music that will bring the experiences of the transition from solider to citizen to life.
